Jamie Mahowald

Hi! I'm a PhD student at Stanford ICME. Previously I was a post-bachelor researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory. and a mathematics student in the Plan II honors program at UT-Austin. I've worked at ARL:UT, the Oden Institute, and the Library of Congress's John W. Kluge Center. You can reach me at mahowald [dot] jamie [at] gmail [dot] com.

I'm interested in creating intelligent systems that can reason about the physical world. I look at representations of physical data to models, hard guarantees on nonlinear networks, and equivalencies and redundancies in optimization. I also create AI systems for cultural institutions.

Outside research, I like reading (esp. history, fantasy, and sci-fi) and cooking.
